First look
John’s eyes fretted nervously as he finally worked up the courage to look up at Amy’s face. As his eyes locked with hers, he realized it was the first time he’d really looked at his coworker for any extended period of time: Not just a furtive glance here and there when she thought she wasn’t paying attention, but really looking at the shape of her eyes, the curve of her lips, her cheekbones, the way her hair fell in front of her eyes…
He blinked, almost looking away and apologizing for a moment before he remembered there was no one to apologize to: Thanks to the Great Shift hitting in the middle of the work day, it was now his own face he was looking at, a reflection in the mirror as he stared at the body he’d be looking at every time he caught his reflection from now on.
John smiled. While he hadn’t exactly expected it to happen like this, something told him he’d have some fun once the world settled down.

Great to finally see you back!
