Thanksgiving Swap: Ron

 Ron had expected this year’s thanksgiving to be different, but nothing could have prepared him for what the Great Shift had in store for his family.

Six months ago, Ron’s son had signed up for a study abroad program for his second year at college - He was spending the entire year at a university in India hosted by a local family, while in exchange, his own family back home had agreed to host an Indian student from the same program. For the past few months, they had been hosting Kavya, a young woman visiting the US for the first time.

When the Great Shift hit, he had been making a joke during the Thanksgiving meal about how uncommon it was to have a new face sat around the dinner table. Now, it was looking like Kavya’s face would be a regular fixture at all of Dan’s future family events, seeing as how it was now the one staring back at him every time he looked in the mirror!

Dealing with his drastically changed family was strange enough, with his wife in the body of their 7 year old daughter, Kavya in one of Dan’s 16 year old nephews, and their daughter in her 30 year old uncle’s body, until his son came back a few weeks later in the body of one of his female instructors, looking more like a mother to the new Ron than the son he had said goodbye to!
