First moments of the Great Shift
“Oh my God, no, this can’t be right…”
Alex stood rooted to the street, entranced by the two inch tall reflection in the compact mirror he now found himself holding. More specifically, at the gorgeous black woman in the reflection now copying his every move. A few moments ago, he had been off the street, in an office building four floors up as he printed out papers by the copy machine for a meeting. Now, he was suddenly standing on the sidewalk, the blink of an eye being all the time the Great Shift had needed to push his mind out of his body and into the body of a random passerby on the street below, a woman who had stopped for a moment to check her makeup before walking into the modeling agency downstairs.
Still in shock, Alex licked his lips, the faint taste of cherry lip gloss sticking to his tongue as the woman in the mirror did the same. All at once, he began taking into account all the strange sensations now registering across his unfamiliar new body: the slight stickiness of the gloss on this woman’s plump, full lips, the light dusting of makeup across her face highlighting her eyes, contouring her cheekbones. The pull of the braids on his scalp, now going all the way down to his butt. Her perfectly smooth, deep brown skin, so different from the pale complexion he was used to…
Alex breathed in sharply and looked down, shocked by the pull of the large, perfectly formed breasts on the straps of the bra he was now wearing, the fabric of a form fitting cheetah print top swelling with every breath as his new cleavage strained against the material. Suddenly, another scream broke him out of the trance. Alex looked around at the other men and women on the street for the first time, clearly in the same state of shock as he was. Whatever had happened had clearly affected more than just him…
