Long Distance Great Shift 13: USA to Jamaica

It was time for Joey to face the truth:

There was nothing stopping him from going home: His Identity was in place, he had regained access to his bank account, he had even received his temporary travel documents in the mail weeks ago as the world slowly returned to a post-shift “normal” around him. He had every opportunity to book a flight back home and return to his old life, but… he hadn’t. And every day he procrastinated it seemed less and less likely that he would.

The Truth was, the Great Shift had landed him in paradise on earth, literally. He had gone to bed in his cramped studio apartment in New York and woken up in a beachside resort in Jamaica in the body of one of its staff members. Seeing as there were no flights off the island, he had managed to negotiate a deal with one of the resort’s owners once the initial shock of waking up in a strange woman’s body had worn off. Tourism had ground to a halt as countries around the world slowly regained control of the situation, so he had been allowed to stay in one of the hotel’s suites as long as he helped out with some basic upkeep around the grounds. It was supposed to be a temporary arrangement, but as the days turned into weeks, it didn’t take long for Joey to realize that if he didn’t leave soon, he probably never would. the resort had just offered him a full time job doing basically what he already had been doing, and although it would be a massive drop both pay and prestige-wise from his old job, the thought of going back to New York and picking up where he had left off was beginning to seem less and less like the right choice by the day!

    1. I'm from the USA but I found myself in India trapped inside the body of a Model, she was doing photoshoot at the time.

In fact here's a photo of my first moments in my new body below.
