“I just don’t know what’s going on with Nate, i mean, you think you know your son and then it’s almost like he’s a different person overnight!” Sarah said, taking a sip from her wine glass. “Boys that age, I dont get it.” 


“You don’t know the half of it” Rebecca laughed, nervously playing with her drink.


 Of course, she couldn’t tell Sarah that she was actually talking to Nate in her best friend’s body and the son she was complaining about was really Rebecca stuck in his. Not that she would have believed it anyways, but after weeks of trying everything they could think of to swap back, he and Rebecca had come to an uneasy agreement: Seeing as the electrical storm that had swapped their consciousness into each others’ bodies was starting to look more and more like a once in a lifetime event, they decided that it would be best to keep up appearances and pretend to be each other until they could find a way to swap back. For Rebecca, that meant going back to school in a teenage boy’s body; For Nate, as weird as it was, that meant keeping up with Rebecca’s weekly girl talk dates with her best friend - his mom.


Although, Nate smiled, judging by his mom’s complaints he was doing a much better job of blending in than Rebecca was. Honestly, he was starting to enjoy it. Her job was relatively laid back compared to his school workload and finally having the disposable income of an adult meant he could buy things he could only dream of affording in his old body, including a growing fashion addiction to show off his new body.


“Anyways, enough about me - That top’s new, you got a date or something? Your girls look great in that!” Sarah replied, switching the subject.


Nate blushed. “Yeah actually, i’m meeting him after this. One of the guys from the office asked me out, you think he’ll like it?


What he didn’t mention was that he had picked out some lingerie underneath it that showed off a lot more than the top did, or that it wasn’t exactly the first time he’d hooked up with someone from Rebecca’s office…
