Won the lottery



Darren felt like he had won the lottery. The Great Shift had hit while he was visiting his grandma at an old folks home - possibly the worst place you could be if you were going to swap bodies with someone random, now that he thought about it. But as the chaos went on around him, he looked down and realized that he had swapped bodies with the only other young person in the room, a girl who had been chatting with her grandfather a few tables over.


Touching his chest, he breathed out a sigh of relief as he took stock of all the other people he could have ended up as, none of them under 70. As he made eye contact with his old body, he could immediately tell by the look in his eyes that the girl in his body had the exact same thought running through her head.
